Bell Canada CEO Contact Info...

Can anyone tell me how to find the email address for the CEO of BCE or Bell Canada ?

Auto plants closing in the States and Canada...$%&#*!! Unions !!

I just got more ammunition against in my rant against unions. Can you believe that in the States....I have no idea if they have it in Canada but rest assured I am going to find out.....they have a thing called Job Banks ? For anyone familiar with being 'put on the bench' when you work for a company that hires out your skills, and the contract is finished....it is the same thing. You are put to work doing other tasks and training or helping out other departments until they can find another contract for you. If you are 'on the bench' for too long and you are not contributing to the well being of the company (ie: being a drain...), they then terminate or lay you off. As it is too expensive to pay your wages for an extended period of time this is the sensible thing to do. Seemingly the auto union somehow managed to negotiate a contract with the big three where employees from a plant that has shut down or reduced output are put in the job bank.....at full salary...for 4 years. Witnesses have said that they sit on their heinies getting full salary doing nothing....at average $30/hour. $30 an hour. Shit. I can't even imagine the regular benefits they get. I have absolutely no pity whatsoever for these people who expect the government to bail them out. None. Pathetic. And the UAW says it's not their fault the automakers are going tits up....Owwwwwwwwwwww......a monkey just squeezed out of my puckerhole......You my friends are a huge part of the problem. When are they going to slip back to reality and realize this ? Really. They are so far out in left field it's silly. Hmmmm. Honda and other plants are opening brand new plants in the States.....They must be doing something right.....hmmmm. Methinks it's the average $18 an hour and no unions that may have something to do with it....Oh yeah. And making sensible cars that you don't need a ladder to climb into. (This coming from a person who owns 2 North American cars....and the quality shows...or lack of)
Unions are the root of all problems. Do you really think that half of your help line calls would be routed to India if wages were not out of control by greedy unions here ? I can't even go there. That's another whole cluster f__k. Let the auto makers go bankrupt and then terminate all the union contracts and then restructure and reorganise and start fresh...Oh yeah....follow Honda and Toyota's manufacturing/business models. So at this point the US side was asking for I think 35 BILLION and at this point, god knows why, got 15 BILLION. I would like to see the stipulations if any. The Canadian side is asking for 6 BILLION. If and when they get that, which I'm sure they will...and would drop to the floor on the spot if they didn't...there has GOT TO BE STIPULATIONS FOR THE UNION CONTRACTS. And also the cars they make. Bring the auto sector employees back to reality with sensible wages. Bring all wages back to reality and then maybe we would stop losing plants to Mexico and China and India. We are in no position to sit on our asses and have other third world countries do our dirty work. We need the jobs here...in Canada. You know, I think the Conservatives actually see this and I hope they aren't forced to bend to the unions will by this coalition scare. I hope they do not cave in their January budget.

Freaking unions......twits. Did I say SIX BILLION ????

Don't do it Bob......It's Political Suicide !!!

So Bob Rae is going to run back and forth across Canada to beat a dead dog. I don't know about you, but to me it seems he has an air of self importance surrounding him....self-rightousness...you know..' they are all doofuses and I guess I'll have to do it myself '. I commend him on his attempt to keep his party focused on something.....anything. They don't seem too cohesive as of late. Thus one of the reasons we...the Canadian majority...were more than a little concerned about them governing us. (I'm laughing .....) They can't even govern themselves. So here is Bob, thinking in one way that he is showing leadership and commitment to his party by stepping up and trying to push the coalition on us. Not realising that he may make himself look like a responsible leader to some of his cohorts, but to most of us who were infuriated with the coup in the first place, he's still making the coalition look even less inviting than it was before...if that's possible. It's going to die dude. Let it go. We do not want a coalition. We want to keep the present government in place. Do you not get that ? Look to getting your party all focused on the same train of thought (....hint....not the coalition). Concentrate on reforming the only viable opposition party. Your not going to help matters any by pushing the coalition. If you do, chances are fairly decent you have lost the opportunity at leadership of your party already. I congratulate Mr. Ignatieff in advance.
Forget the coup Bob......
Work on your party and then with your government
Stephen has gotten a scare and a slap on the bum. Move forward and help the country. Not yourselves. Twit.

Work Towards a Unified Government...Not a Coalition...Twits

Dion's party does not even want him as a leader. He wants to be the PM ? We want him ?
Layton is a socialist Twit.....
No words for Duceppe.

God. I hate politicians. Yes. The Conservatives are slightly to blame. Got that out. But they are still the best ones to manage this country. Again. Dion lost miserably and is being kicked out as leader of his own party. You got that right ? Yet, they chose him as the lesser of 3 evils to rule as PM until some other no name can come in....not popularly elected. Unreal. Really. Unfathomable. The Conservatives say it like it is usually. Are we the tax payer happy with $1.95 for every vote given to a political party given to that party ? Nope. Five parties. Maybe hone it down to two parties and it would be OK. Place a ban on public sector union strikes for a couple years due to tough financial times ? Sure. Public service employees are well paid. Look at OC Transpo here in Ottawa. Threatening to strike, again at Christmas. Using the general public as a bargaining chip. F____ers. Do I have any respect for unions ? Not even remotely. This is not a 3rd world country where you are working in a sweatshop with a whip on your back constantly and shackles keeping you there. Don't like your job and want to get out ? Walk out the door. I digress. Going off topic. F__k. Look at me. Swearing on my blog. Bonesmokers. The 43% that the papers are showing for people wanting an election if the GG dissolves the present government are all Liberals who are saying...'OH my God, we have another chance' Polls. They are mostly in favour of the Conservatives but those numbers for the other 'routes' to be taken are scary if you believe in polls. 1000 people called...out of a population of how many millions....and Canada decides. Sad really. I hope the rallies do well. I'm going to my first one ever on Parliament Hill. I'm pretty confident the GG will prorogue (whatever) the government at Harpers request today. God I can only hope. That will give people time to see that coalition governments DO NOT WORK. It is a freaking coup plain and simple. The Conservatives have been in office for what ? a month and a half ? And there has been nothing but childish squabbling since. Dion is a big baby !!! How do yuh like me now ? If it had been a year and Canadas economy was in the shitters and we were in a States like recession...then yes....maybe contemplate it. IT's BEEN TWO MONTHS !!!!! Canada is one of the few countries in the world at this time with a strong economy and not in dire financial straits like the rest of the world. Somebody....somewhere....in government...in Canada....must be doing something right....you think ? Get over it you whiny losers. You all lost. You were not voted in. Your election showings were dismal. The Conservatives got in..be it a minority...they were chosen by we the people to govern this country. They are not repressing us. They are not living in lavish castles looking down on us and sticking their noses up whilst we live in decrepit mud houses living in our own filth. They are not stocking their closets with 10' of thousands of shoes while we die in the streets. They are not eradicating the naysayers.

To Dion, Layton, and Duceppe.......Shut the F__k up and get your acts together and help govern this country. Stop squabbling like freaking school kids and unite with the governing party to keep our country strong. Twits.

Where is Dalton ? (or...Dear Dalton...GO AWAY !!)

So. The US election is finally over. First black president. Big change. Bush out. Yay. Time to get back to Canadian politics. Specifically, Ontario. Am I the only person who wishes Dalton and his minions would stop blaming everything that has gone wrong in Ontario on the federal government ? Is it possible that he can grow a set and take some responsibility ? He has been doing this since the day he took office. Remember ? He came in with all his promises and then turned around and said 'sorry. no can do....the previous guys screwed us more than I thought and so I can't keep my promises' I honestly hate the man. Can he be impeached ? Can we get him out ? Bring in some fresh blood ? Someone who can try and get this province back on it's feet ? Stop whining about the federal gov't not liking us ? We are now getting equalization payments. Thats like getting welfare cheques. Never before has Ontario needed these. Thanks Dalton. He wants the feds to sink billions into an antiquated industry as it is thought to be Onatrios 'core' money maker. The auto industry has changed dude. Don't sink any more money into that until you are sure there will be actual change in their thinking. He is talking billions. Twit. Honestly....what a twit. GET OUT !!!!!...I feel better.....Look into lowering the wages that are paid to union workers. Maybe more plants will start to open. Look at other ways to protect the workers other than unions. Stop depending on China and India so freaking much. Get these jobs back to Ontario (or anywhere in Canada for that matter...) How can you compete tho' when they pay their employees $10 or much less (!!!) and hour and we are at lie $20 or more for unionised workers. Unions are driving out companies. Really. Start with unions and take it from there. Stop relying on cars and trucks. There are many more opportunities in the way of manufacturing than cars and parts. GET OUT !!!!! Start off by getting call centres back to Canada. People have a hard enough time with their broken equipment then have to deal with a language barrier. I just can't comprehend having call centres in India. Really. Force these companies like Bell and others to keep their services here. Something, Anything. God your a twit. Get into the publics face. Show us you are doing something. You must not be doing much as you are never in the media. Be a democratic representative of the people...who put you there....and get in our faces with ideas. Show us you are alive. Don't wait 'till vote time. Twit.
DO SOMETHING MAN !!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU ???

Bob Rae and the Liberals are Twits.....As are most Politicians I guess.

Bob Rae is an idiot. So are a decent chunk of politicians with their childlike finger pointing and he said she said....God....it makes me mental. Why can they not just debate their platforms and grow up. Deal with your team crap afterwards.Read the above link first. It's as if some politicians think other politicians did not, and do not, have other personal opinions and that some of us would care about this. Unfortunately he may swing 1 or 2 votes because of this. So, a guy that's running for MP against Rae thought maybe if people had concealed handguns that they would not have watched as a fellow human being was butchered before their eyes. I too think they were pussies. Grab a rucksack or other luggage or piece of wood or something and swarm the guy. Really. See. That's my personal opinion and a chunk of others also. You can look back on it and say that. It infuriated me and a good chunk of the population. Does Rae think this is the only guy that thought...'if they had guns they simply would have shot the crazy freak'. No. He just has no solid political debating or platform to stand on so he has to act like a kid and treat his constituents like they are brainwahed morons and say crap like 'Oh My GOD....the Tory party is falling apart..they are falling like snowflakes'......snowflakes ? It's like flies twit. ("The fact of the matter is I think it reveals something else. I think it reveals the incredible weakness of the Harper team," Rae told CTV's Question Period. "The team is falling off like snowflakes." )"Their candidates are falling off because they can't stop saying stupid things. And this is a reflection on the Harper team and, frankly, also a reflection on Mr. Harper because he's the one who is choosing the team." Mr. Rae should have Mr. Dion sign a contract with the people of Canada which states that in the event more than 2 Liberals have some dirt dug up on them in the future if, god forbid, they get into office, then they will capitulate. As of course they are not fit to govern due to some personal foibles in their party. These remarks have been made by all parties with everyone doing the finger pointing and childlike/US style dirt digging. Grow up and just be concerned with what concerns the country you twits. Elections suck as it is already. Stop your whining. I actually used to have respect for Bob Rae before these comments. Lost now. Twits.

How the Canadian Government can Reign in Gas Prices...

So....how about implementing an excess profits tax on Canadian oil companies ?
The government should punish oil companies for excess profits as it is eminent domain and the oil is Canadian. Oil is a necessary evil. We need it. Let David Suzuki tell us how we can logically and sensibly stop using it and use Segways to travel.......not. Get rid of plastic ? Not going to happen. It makes the country run. It should be controlled. Yes, these companies have spent millions upon millions to develop these fields and such...but not without government waiving fees and taxes and even investing moderately. The revenue generated by this tax could be put towards cutting taxes on consumer products such as food and everyday staples. Hey, they could even make huge investments in alternate energy development...not research. I'm sick of the word 'research' and 'studies'. Just freaking do it. What are oil companies going to do ? Up and leave to Mexico ? Not gonna happen. Still gonna make profits for their shareholders....just not going to have motivation to gouge the everyday Joe and industry in general with the threat of huge tax penalties. Should work. You think ?

Can The Canadian Government Run An Oil Company ?

Yes. The first step the government should take to control gas prices is start a company of it's own (Petro Canada ?...another Mulroney fiasco....god I still hate the man) After all, technically, the oil belongs to the people of Canada. Why not take over them all ?(wishful thinking...just call me Hugo C) With government control over their own refineries (hopefully more than one...) and fields there would be government stabilised pricing and delivery. Hopefully no 'oh my god there is the possibility of a storm 5000 miles away hurting the rigs' gas gouging. No worries about shareholders screaming about profits. Put the money back into Canada. After all we do have the 2nd largest reserves of oil in the world (yes...including the tar sands)This is not a communist government nor is it run by a despot who will line his own pockets or use the funds for some nefarious plan....it should and would be transparent ownership and governance. This said as I'm sure some twit will think that the government should not run a company of this size. They are doing a decent job of running the country and starting a government owned company is the best idea. Oh yeah....they could also force the big oil companies and automakers from muzzling the companies that are trying to improve the common battery or fuel cells for future electric cars. Buy out, or into, Ballard Power Systems and get shit rolling. There is nowhere near enough money going into this technology. If it takes government interference to force the issue then so be it. That should be a condition of bailing these auto companies out....contractually obligated to have an affordable production hybrid within 1 year. All you see is advertising for them. Just blowing smoke up the everyday Joes ass. Canfuel....there's a good name for the new company owned by the people of Canada....yeah. Canfuel.

Religulous.....Question everything !!

http://www.lionsgate.com/religulous/

OK...so this is not technically Canadian content but religion is universal...OK ? I had to post this. It opens October 3rd. Maybe this will show some people the light. Bring them back from the dark side. Tired of religious folks pushing their religion on you ? Fight back and give them a copy of this movie. Have a pile at the door for the jehovah witnesses. Send copies to your local televangelist, rabbi and imam ! Plaster it all over the internet ! atheists and Agnostics are cut down on a daily basis by religious folk as non-believers and infidels and non-semite's so me thinks this film is long overdue.....I just sit here with a smirk as I read the reviews of religious zealots cutting Maher and his 'diatribes' as the 'atheist prophet' down. Really...I was under the impression that religions were supposed to be tolerant of others ? Maybe this movie was made with people like that in mind...yuh think ? There are actually religious blog that agree with him and enjoyed the movie....with the exception of the quote at the end of the movie...'for the world to live religion must die'. At present...this could not be more true. If people require some type of 'force' to make their lives whole...maybe they should look into Buddhism....no god.....peaceful....you know....non-antagonistic. Yeah. But of course you would have some dimwits who would interpret it their own way and start with 'my buddha is better than your buddha' and not agree with the robes the other monastery guys wear and violence would ensue. Religion sucks....period. Yes...poor me for not seeing the joy and wonderment and all enveloping beauty of it all. I guess I'm kinda fixated on the extremism and lack of rights and wars started and bloody protests and daily issues caused as a result of it. Poor me......not.

Unions Again....and Buzz's Salute...

I just read about Buzz Hargrove going out and another guy coming in for the CAW. Buzz on his way out gave the single finger salute to the Canadian Government....this after they just agreed to dishing Ford 80MILLION dollars to keep 350 people employed...at the plant anyway. He has his panties in a twist that the money was meant to buy votes....and your point is ? The mayor of the city seems to be happy....the residents and employees seem to be happy....so your point would be ? Who cares if it was politically motivated. It's 80 MILLION dollars dude. You have gotten too political and it is good you are out. But as to your successor's immediate concern over pushing to get the PC out ? You yourself were kicked out of the NDP a bit back...did you apologise and get back in ? Probably not....So that means...most likely ...that the CAW are political cronie of the Liberals and Stephanes Green Shift...no ? His bid to increase carbon taxes and most likely close down more plants ? He's an environmentalist you know...So....that leaves the Bloc and the Greens. The Bloc being separatist and the Greens...well. you know they are against cars period....That leaves you .....the Conservatives.....hmmmmm...or the CAW should keep their nose out of politics and just let their unionised folks vote for whomever they wish. Waddya think of that ? Oh yeah....I just read about the 'retire and you get a car and thousands of dollars' deal made at the end of July. Lets see....a $35,000 vehicle 'chit' on top of upwards of $100,000 cash for normal everyday employees...And still we are supposed to feel sorry for unionised workers ? Some people are happy to get a pen set and a little bonus check. A car chit. 'Thanks for working for us' Here's a $35,000 car and $100,000 cash and 65 percent of your pay' See yuh. Shit...And we are supposed to feel sorry for you again why ? We as taxpayers should support your prehistoric cause why ? The Conservatives brought this upon your people how ? I would kill to see a reply to this....Please.....

Another Ontario Plant Closing.....

So. Another plant closing. OK. Car plants closing seemingly due to the price of gas and people shifting away from trucks, SUV's and other gas guzzlers. All the related suppliers going out of business as a result. Other plants closing and blaming it on free trade and the economy. John Deere closing and blaming it on the economy. Even tho' there is a projected profit for the product they are putting out in Welland. I would put the blame squarely on shareholders and company greed. Must make more money. All right....when you invest in a company, you would like to see a profit. As shareholders own part of your company you have to listen to them...and there are usually many. Everyone wants to see a profit. How to make that profit ? Hmmmm. Well, we pay our employees in North America an exorbitant amount in wages and benefits....no ? Lets just pick up and move to Mexico or India or China then. Someone will actually make money (kickback !!)by just saying we'll move there !! North America has evolved to the point where the general populace is living well and wages are good....but the companies and businesses that supply us with our consumer goods want to make more money also. So why not produce where the wages are 2 or 3 dollars an hour and there are most likely huge incentives to stay put there. OK. That is where a union would actually come in handy. It would get to a point tho' where the employees are making decent wages and benefits and the union should back off and stay at status quo. Otherwise, the company would pick up and move again to another country who has not yet developed fully and allows $5/day labour....until the union comes in there also. You see where I'm going. The unions and employees are partially at fault also. The unions for trying to drive wages even higher if the company is making record profits (even if not...) The employees for having a feeling of power over the company knowing they can get away with a lot with the security of the union behind them. I don' say this without knowledge. I have worked in both unionised and non-unionised environments. I hate unions and their fervent supporters. If I am perfectly happy with the wages and benefits I am making and complacent in my work environment, why should I be forced to go on strike for better benefits and more wages ? And then be called a scab and scumbag for wanting to keep working and not supporting the union's demands ? Not right. I have worked with complete idiots who took full advantage of the security of the Union and would have been fired or even criminally charged in a normal working or public environment. Protected by the Union. The Union was beneficial to a point and is a good employee advocate but keep it at that. Unions are a dominant factor in driving big companies out. If you don't like your wages and benefits, get another job. Work someplace else. Who cares if the company is making record profits. Yes it would be nice to get a bonus or something but ultimately if your not happy....get out. If you want to share in those profits, buy stock. Your compensation for your work is your salary and benefits. The shareholders compensation is profits from the money they invested. This in no way condones their greed for more money...just puts into perspective the arguments between both. For anyone blaming this on any political party...get a life.
Are companies fines if they up and move after services have been made available to them ie: changes in infrastructure to accommodate them etc ? In the article it mentions a fine. I really hope this holds true. The large companies should be hit hard for moves like this.
So to sum up what is possibly at fault;
a/ Corporate Greed
b/ Bottom Line (same?)
c/ Unions for inflating wages
d/ Economy
e/ Consumer need for inexpensive products versus corporate need for customers and profit
f/ Countries that allow $10 paydays to help their economy blossom overnight
g/ Idiots like us that don't voice our concerns on a regular basis to these companies. I for one am getting tired of speaking to a person with a language barrier in India. I am calling as I am having difficulties understanding something and don't need a language barrier on top of that.

Unions are a thing of the past. Times have changed. In North America anyway......

Billboards In Ottawa....

There really just has not been much to write about lately....Maybe I'm not reading the right news articles....who knows. I was just reading about Ottawa city councillors wanting the right to veto the installation of city owned billboards in their communities (wards...whatever!) Of course it's the same councillors such as Diana Deans who are stirring up the crap(I'm still pissed at her unprofessional 'mannerisms' over the Albion Road fiasco !!!) The city seemingly has about 20 of these up already and are forecasting a profit of 1 million dollars over 5 years....1 milllllleon dollars.....That's a pretty penny. Mayor Larry rebutted by saying that if these wards (or their councillors or the few whiners they represent out of the whole !) don't want billboards in their communities then the money generated by them will not go to that ward. Sounds kinda childish but it makes sense...really. Deans wants vetoing power for her ward but says it's OK to put them elsewhere and that everyone should still share in the returns...Poo Poo on you. This person is a councillor...why ? If for example the majority of the people of Alta Vista or Riverside South or Kanata North say 'Hey...go ahead and do what you have to in an attempt to keep our taxes down....it's just a sign really (as long as the lighting doesn't keep me up at night !!) ' and all the signs are put up in these areas, then I think it is only fair....to a degree.... that these wards have preferential treatment in regards to the profits from the signs. Councillors like Deans and another guy....Doucet....thats him....what to share in the glory and profits but constantly bitch. Are they really representing the majority of their constituents ? Or just making for media attention and spotlight. If it is media attention and the spotlight then they should get out of politics. Represent your people and stick to your wards. You want money from these signs ? Then they go up in your wards also. If there are not any economically viable locations to place these signs in your ward then you don't have to worry abut it. If you can think of other revenue generators then we would like to hear them. Got any ? People should send emails to these councillors and get their ideas with regards to keeping the taxes down and making money. Giving one councillor a right to veto a sign in their neighbourhood ? Bad idea. Trying to make all these councillors happy by setting up a ward by ward custom made installation protocol ? Bad idea. City wide for everyone. They are bringing money in to keep our taxes down people. There are already billboards all over. It's a sign. It's not a factory or racetrack or increased traffic. It's a sign. Live with it. I'm really getting to like Larry. He's not a politician and I like that....a lot.

New Car Dealers Association against delayed Opening on Remembrance Day

They have got to be joking. Holymakeabadnameforyourself batman... This is so 'You have got to be kidding me......' OK...they want the delayed opening bylaw on Remembrance day to now include Pharmacies and supermarkets and car dealers. Pharmacies I think should be allowed to stay open..that's kind of dumb...sorry. Supermarkets...well that's a close one...wait...no...people can wait 'till noon to get their pomegranates and milk...don't know of any real food emergencies unless you under ordered for the luncheon and will be fired if there is no fruit tray. Cars ? Sales to Gatineau ? Wait....I'm laughing........give it a minute......little more....taking a deep breath....OK. Your joking...honestly. " Honey...if we don't get that car on Thursday by noon we are going to Gatineau cause I just cannot wait the extra 3 or 4 hours. I mean dammit....we have been shopping for a month now and I WANT TO BUY IT THE MORNING OF REMEMBRANCE DAY DAMMIT !!!" Wait....more...."I so have to get my car back that has been in the shop for 1 week having $1000 worth of work on it that morning...before noon or I am TOAST !!" Wait....."Parts...parts....I cannot wait 'till noon to get my parts....I'll have to go to Gatineau to get them.....damn " Anything else ? Not that I can think of. Where do they get their ideas ? Who is in charge of the Association ? Do any of them have relatives or fathers or family or friends who are either presently in the military or have fought in the past ? Pretty sure they do. For some reason some $$$$$ minded moron could not see past his/her greed and made the mistake of making that lame ass remark about losing business to Gatineau. Honestly...what an idiot..s (??) The car industry cannot use the excuse of lowered prices due to high gas prices to not take 4 hours (max) out of one day to help recognize the sacrifice of thousands upon thousands of Canadians, which has allowed them to be able to run business's like they do and to make stupid remarks like that without being shot out of hand by some totalitarian regime. Unreal. The car dealership owners who are against what was said (if any...) should force their association to make a quick apology for such a stupid blurb....Could go on...but won't. You get the idea. I may go to Gatineau just to spite them. Man.......greed. I may join one of those anti corporate organisations after all....go to G8 protests and all. It's all about the money. Dimwits.
http://www.oncda.com/talk_to_us.htm Email them.....please.

Open Letter to Taliban From Canadians (I wish...)

Heyzoos Cristo....it would be nice to sit down with some of your upper echelon twits with a panel of Canadian civilians. Just so we could try and understand your absolute lack of intelligence. You sent a 'letter' for gods sake. A letter. Ooooooooohhhh. You murdered aid workers you pussies. Aid workers helping out your supposed fellow citizens that you seem so concerned about. I guess there is a reason you attacked a school housing 300 kids the following day. 300 of your fellow citizens children. Your countries future. I guess there was concern their IQ's ,at a young age, were going to pass yours as a whole. Can't have that. Won't be able to brainwash them. They may actually see through your facade. You actually think a ....letter.....would sway a country ? Sway the people of that country against their government ? "We will send them a letter..yah yah.. and it will be published by their media and all the people will be very afraid....yah yah....and force their government to withdraw the Canadian troops....yes....this is brilliant. As we are having a hard timing getting their soldiers we will kill unarmed aid workers....that will scare them...yah yah....maybe we can even convince them that our view of islam and our prophet Allah is the only way and let it overtake and rule their lives...the freedoms and joy they will feel...." (OK a little carried away there...) There are obviously people here who are against our involvement and people for it. That is what you get when you are free and can speak your mind....and have books to read to expand your knowledge. We are not brainwashed. Yup...no bookburning here. You are fortunate in the fact that some media outlets will try and hype such an inane form of communication....a letter....on slow news days to make it bigger than it is. There are also unfortunately twits who will go ..."Oh No" but the majority of us just laugh at you now. Maybe we are not familiar with your totalitarian ways and customs...as you are not familiar with ours......a letter. Can you not get it through your heads that when you kill aid workers that are helping your fellow Afghans, and raid schools to burn books and torture teachers, and the plethora of other inhuman tactics you use in the defence of your twisted religion, you actually turn more 'free' people against you ? Chill out man. Let your fanaticism vent somewhere else....I know....for the betterment of your fellow citizens....or against actual corrupt governments....not just cause they are secular or not followers of your twisted religion. Plant your poppies and be happy....Really....a letter ?

Gangs in Canada (Montreal Riots...)

How does one bring up a topic of immigrant gangs and subsequent criminal activities and not have someone say he is a bigot or racist or a nazi or such. I'm not any of the above.... so eat me if you think I am....
There seems to be an uptake in gang membership and increase in gangs themselves across the country. You can't tell me the riots in Montreal were not gang related. The cop who shot the teen (most likely gang member) that was advancing to attack him, along with how many others, was acting in self defense. It was a gang mobbing that the officer was not going to stand for and if anyone thinks that he should have taken the chance of a severe beating from a mob, for doing his job, rather than draw his weapon and shoot, has an altered sense of what police are paid for.
mob[1,noun]mob[2,transitive verb]
Pronunciation: \ˈmäb\
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin mobile vulgus vacillating crowd
Date: 1688
1: a large or disorderly crowd; especially : one bent on riotous or destructive action2: the lower classes of a community : masses, rabble3chiefly Australian : a flock, drove, or herd of animals4: a criminal set : gang; especially often capitalized : mafia 15chiefly British : a group of people : crowd

The original incident was gang related and the subsequent riots were likely gang instigated. How many upstanding citizens would shoot at cops....gang members. It was a chance for people to loot. How do people think relations are to be improved in a poor neighborhood when they do this ? They won't. Normal citizens and victims of the looting will exact revenge in some way. It just won't be covered by the media too much as it would lead to more violence. Also, most of the immigrants in the community come from countries where they were repressed by the police forces there and they have to get it through their heads that it is not the same here. That's why you came, isn't it ? Not a good excuse. You were a shit disturber there and the same here. They ruin it for the ones that try to actually adapt to the Canadian way.
My view on gang violence and gangs in general is that there should be zero tolerance. If it's found you belong to a violent gang, you go to jail. If you are a recently landed immigrant (within 10 years) you are deported. That's it. Done. Had your chance. Realistically most gangs are immigrant dominant such as the haitian gangs in Montreal and elsewhere and the asian gangs mostly out west. There seems to be a Canada wide labour shortage, as reported by the media, so why can't these kids get a job ? I know how plain that sounds...'get a job'...but it's true. Take off the stupid sideways hat and chains and baggy pants and get a job. You can't use the excuse that you can't get an education. It's public. Just too lazy. Get a govt loan to go to college. I guess there's more money in gang activity than having a real job. A little more exciting. Makes for a nice break in the day. You could go on and try to take a social worker's attitude towards rehabilitation for these gangs but that won't get you anywhere. The last thing that is needed here is a gang like the south american one MI 13. This one has spread into the States and consists of South Americans who are insanely violent against anyone. If the system doesn't crack down on immigrant dominant gangs harshly...and soon...then we will start to lose our Canadian identity as a peaceful place to live and start looking like some US city like LA.
Time to stop blaming society and your home country and take responsibility for your actions and future. If your not willing to do that.... go back home. Really. How can you not expect a public backlash ? Do you think the Canadian public has an endless supply of pity ? Some do...most don't and it's time they act on it. Maybe we should protest in their neighbourhoods......OK....again....so it's a middling minority who actually carry out the violent stuff....yep..the gangs. Deport them. Deport the Canadian gang losers to a new facility 1000 miles North of Nunavut and the others out of the country. Please please please don't think of telling me..."they were oppressed in their country and will take time to build up trust towards our police forces ....." SHOT to the solar plexus.....knee to the nuts.....freak.

Another Slow News Day For CBC.....

Quote from CBC..."Afghan father wants revenge for children's deathsThe father of two children shot to death by Canadian troops in Afghanistan said Thursday he will "kill the Canadians" if he gets the chance."
His kids are killed.....I would guess that yes, he would like revenge. Anyone would. As would the 1000's of Afghans who have had family murdered by the Taliban or other suicide bombers. As would the family of the young man murdered in Winnipeg as would the soldiers families being killed overseas. What a stupid headline. Honest to god. I find it hard to believe that an organisation like the CBC cannot put out better material for their readers. Again, they are just sounding anti Canadian Forces with crap like this. Why not a normal take on what happened ? It was a terrible mistake yes....but a headline like that ? Maybe they'll come up with a headline for the murder here in Canada such as.....hmmm...."Family terribly upset that son gruesomely murdered. Want to take revenge on Asian man who killed him" I would. I would want terrible revenge. It's an obvious thing. OK..you get the point. I guess they're relieved that at least now they have an interesting news story to work on. Really sad. Really.

Slow News Day for CBC ?

OK...disciplinary charges in the military rise seemingly from around 1400 a year, before we went to war against terror in the form of the Taliban and other freaks, under the auspices of NATO, to about 2300 a few years after we took on an active combat role. Hmmm. From every day peacekeeping and regular non combat duties and activities to a combat role in an active theatre with daily hostilities and cowardly media grabbing attacks (ie: roadside bombs and attempted instigation of 'bad NATO' attacks) I think there would be some stress involved on the part of our soldiers which would ultimately lead to more incidents of mis-conduct due to stress. They're not automatons you know. It doesn't help that the media constantly looks for something to blow out of proportion to get headlines and sell papers and TV ads, thus igniting idiot pacifists back home (and abroad) who don't have the common sense to look a little deeper into things. For example...the Taliban and other radical groups most obviously use the media to try and sway the general public into turning opinion against the military. That is their sole goal. That is the only way they can fight. They try to instigate the general public into railing against the entire reason for being there and siding with them. They fight from peoples homes and force them to stay so the media will come in and report on the coalition destruction of every day peoples homes and occasionally killing the occupants. A few of these and you get a protest...and the enemy laughs. The media knows full well this is what happens but they need their headlines...their pictures. The Canadian media is not terribly harsh on our military but I'm sure most of any negative criticism of our soldiers is due to some mis-guided or bored journalist, and this most definitely affects the soldiers who are there, going WTF ? The article is just pretty much a statistical review of 'stuff' and in the end kinda harmless. Still, why the headlines and opening line of 'Military charges against Canadian Forces members have risen dramatically in the years since Canada sent troops to Afghanistan, a CBC investigation has found. In the past eight years, charges have risen by as much as 62 per cent.' This made front page on a few papers and internet homepages. Yes, lets point out minor human indiscretions (and some serious) instead of maybe taking a different stance or maybe a report on the mental well being of our troops from a personal level. It's the headline that gets you in tho' I guess....

'Assumed' organ donor ?

'NDP Pushing for Assumed Organ Donation' Have people not learned yet that assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups ? So right off, I have my card checked for organ donation...I am definitely NOT against it...but to assume ? That's just not right. Be spiritual or what you will, that body belongs to somebody and you can''t just start harvesting it....."SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Had to get that in..sorry. If I was in a position to desperately require an organ or I will succumb to a disease that I have, I probably would want to see this pushed through (see link). If I was in an airplane heading straight toward the earth facing imminent death....chances are pretty good I would say a quick prayer, even tho I am anti-religion. I would try anything. But it still comes down to the fact that you cannot assume people want their body harvested...should'nt even be considered. These people are pretty much saying that once you pass on your body becomes the property of the government and medical system if you don't initial or sign that little box. So if you forget to check the box or sign, then unfortunately your body is up for grabs. Nothing your family can do. Versus the opposite now. I would prefer the not using my body if I forget. My partner knows I want to donate, but I do understand that they need to know asap after death. Another scenario....they can't find your wallet or ID...."this poor soul is dead...well, it's assumed he wants to give his/her organs to others...lets get to it" Not....the card is checked for 'NO' to organ donation but it is done anyway. But they had to rush to keep the organs fresh and 2 people benefited....Sorry. Not good enough. If for nothing else...unfortunately....it is on principle that I would refuse to allow the federal government to control my remains. That is going a little too far. They already technically control my finances and budget and a lot of day to day life. They will NOT and should NOT have control over your body after death. What a can of worms they would open. Ah well, I guess MP or MPP's can try and get whatever legislation they want pushed through but I have to agree that most of the time they are shot down on stupid stuff like this. I have faith in the system enough to know that this will not pass....as we are not there yet as a civilisation. (Do other countries have this ??)

Liberals Want to Win With New Tax ?

First off...if I could talk to Dion and the Liberals I would say..."are you on crack ?" This said, as they realize that in these trying times with skyrocketing inflation and layoffs, that maybe proposing a new tax is not a good way of taking power from the Tories. I have to wonder if Dion decided to take a survey, on our willingness to pay more taxes to help improve the environment, on David Suzukis website. Hmmm. Or maybe from his upper class friends who make enough money to not care as their accountants will make the necessary adjustments to their yearly taxes and portfolios. Hmmm. Me thinks he did not approach the right group of Canadians (pretty much most of us...) to ask us our opinion. Maybe in the future when the economy has stabilised and we don't have the plethora of more serious issues to deal with. The think tanks think that the state of our health system is no longer a hot topic. They also are starting to think that the environment is not as hot a topic as they thought and may be a non-starter.....election wise. Pretty sure the last thing Joe Canadian wants right now is a new tax. Don't get me wrong. Keep working on Industry and corporations to reduce their carbon footprint. By all means. But also take into consideration that we are merely accelerating a natural process, that hopefully we can attempt to get back close to it's natural course. I personally think his platform (or the Tories for that matter..) should be to bring jobs back to Canada. All that will happen is Canada (and everyone else!) will continue to fork out contracts over seas (ie:India and China) as it is cheaper, and as our economy continues to take a nose dive and our population declines, as it is too expensive to have more than one kid (if any), we will be decreasing our carbon footprint and effect on the environment only to have developing countries like China and India increase their carbon footprint and pretty much balance things out or flat out make it worse. Look at China now. For the Olympics they have shut down approx. 300 factories around Beijing and forced people to drive their cars on alternating days to reduce the fog of pollution there. Whats gonna happen the second the Olympics are over ? Everything will snap back into gear with most likely even more factories going up due to behind the scenes 'Olympic dealings' and the pollution quadrupling. You don't think China is using the Olympics as just a sporting venue, do you ? That's the last care they have I'm sure....'oh yes...the olympians and sporting events..'
Mr. Dion, make your platform keeping jobs in Canada and reducing the financial burdens on families stuck in between the upper class and those who require assistance (a cut off I think of $35000 and below on average I think...$36000 and your shit out of luck..) and bringing our manufacturing sector back on line (by of course bringing these jobs back to Canada) and a plethora of other economic issues, and maybe you will have a chance. This of course could be done by Mr. Harper or the NDP also. Unfortunately if the bloc did this they still wouldn't get in so why bother !! It does not take a think tank or university professor in the media to say...'hey the economy should be the number one issue and we don't really think a new tax will endear you to the general public....oh yes, and people are going to hurt...' I think I'll copy this to David Suzuki. See if he has a plan to come to a proper balance that would make everyone happy. By the way....when it comes to thinking we need more taxes on top of what we have to improve our environment.....who is 'everyone'. I think we are doing pretty good just as we are. Focus on the real polluting countries to get them up to speed. We have already set a good example.

Police Your Own...

This quote from the CBC ..."A group of eastern Ontario Mohawks is upset about an unlicensed quarry started by a businessman in their own community, saying it undermines their protest against the environmental damage caused by another quarry in the same region"

Thank goodness for Aboriginals who have their head screwed on right. You have the 'terrorist types' (Mohawk Warriors) who just start fires and occupations to try and prove a point without thinking, (Ying) and then you have the people who say 'hey, this is going on in our own community...' (Yang). I refuse to say 'Reserve residents' as I just do not agree with the Reserve system. It's a community with the main demographic being Aboriginal. I really hate the usage of the word Reserve, yet they keep using it. Anyway, the council (local government...) seems to have ignored this guy in the past and keeps on ignoring him. Why ? What right does he have to devastate the environment, on Aboriginal lands ? I really hope the people of that community do occupy the quarry to show simpatico with all environmentalists....which I unfortunately really am not. It just showed me a sign of hope when I read this. It was really the guys quote at the end of the story that got to me...."Some members of the band have talked about occupying the Build-All quarry. But Paul Timmerman, an Algonquin from Sharbot Lake who works at the site, warned that shutting down the quarry also could hurt members of the Tyendinaga community.
"It would put a lot of people out of work. Maybe they should take that into consideration."

MMMhhhmmmm. Maybe he (they...) should take that into consideration whenever they blockade any roads or sites that would deny other non-aboriginals access to their source of income...Maybe Paul should fight against all radicals and push for a non-violent approach to solving any issues there are...rather than running out and occupying a site or setting up a road block. This does not help the situation at all. It just unfortunately keeps the impression of certain groups being a little behind the times still. And don't anyone come back and say behind the times is a good thing....it's called human advancement. Do we still hunt with stone arrows or get to work in a horse drawn carriage ? No. We've advanced a little.

So after going slightly into a tangent, I really hope to see more news on what will happen with this guy ripping up their own land without permits etc... versus the seemingly licensed quarry...

Khadr Again...

So...we were waiting for the protests orchestrated by the defense after the very short chosen video clip...which I'm sure the defense took some time to choose...which yes, is their job. Fortunately they only scared up a couple hundred people for the anticipated protest...which we knew was coming (see post below...) I have to ask where the husbands of the muslim women are ? Not something they do I guess. Don't really see them together much do you ? OK, I'll stop there as that will lead me to an anti-religion tangent again. Once again, yes, he was young and brainwashed and manipulated, and Canadian. After the trial they should bring him to a Canadian jail to serve his time. Not until then tho'. Unlike some in the protest believe, he will not be executed (get a grip !) and yes he will be sent back to Canada to do his time under an agreement. Please...are you that ignorant ? That comment came not from a family member but a caucasian participant. OMG. Someone who makes a comment like that is living in their own world or is very easily swayed mentally and is the type of person you would find dead from a mass cult suicide. Sorry but true. Yes, lets just ask the US to drop all the charges and bring this guy 'home'. It's all good. Lets let the Khawaja character go also, after all his ex fiance said he didn't do anything....Lets show the world that we are soft on radicals. Come to Canada and practise your own brand of radical hate mongering and look forward to a lenient justice system. uh huh. If anything, try and force the trial date to be expedited to get it over with and out of the media once and for all. You know, I'm gonna go back to the hijab/dominant hubby thing.....no....no. New post maybe for that. sexist...stoning women for adultery....bias....radical...infidels....religion....hold back...hold back.....

Getting Excited at $1.16/litre......

As I drove down the street yesterday (a Saturday) morning I noted gas prices were at around $1.20/litre. Yes this is lower than the recent norms but 'regular-like'. As I was driving back in the afternoon I noticed prices had dropped to $1.15 on average. OK....so this is Saturday...no open markets, right ? Prices drop almost 5 cents a litre in the middle of the day..on a weekend. So my thoughts now go to Speculators ?...maybe not. Demand ? still a possibility. Supply ? still a possibility. OPEC ? still a possibility. Big Oil ?....most likely. Who else can change the price of gas on a Saturday afternoon ? Did Iran renounce terror ? Did all the terrorists take a holiday ? Is North Korea quietly removing Kim Il Dork ? Did a new refinery kick in ? Did the media not stir up any panic and fear for the last couple of days ? Hmmmmm....
No if only we could see $1.09.....that would be a good day....yes indeedy......

China is still Communist you know...right ?

Do people still actually think that China, with it's insane rate of growth and most obvious lack of inspectors and controls, is a trustworthy place to import products from let alone everyday foodstuff ? I mean Canada, a fully developed and democratic country does not even have enough inspectors to inspect incoming goods from them. Do you think China does ? Not. They have a factory up in 1 week and start pumping out product the next day. If they are eventually found to be non-compliant with whatever regulations are enforced there, maybe they are eventually shut down, to open up under a different name 3 days later in another exploding province or farmers field that will in 1 month be a small city. Maybe if the federal government paid $1.50 an hour for inspectors we could quadruple the amount need to properly inspect these goods and food. Then we would fall into the Chinese way and fully 1/2 of those inspectors would be paid off by the companies (either import or export) to pass the goods as 'cleared'. Countries that use China as their major supplier should be allowed to have an International clearing area in a province there. All goods destined for here should come through inspectors there and any missed get caught here. China is after all a communist state still, even tho' they are doing a good job of hiding it and brushing stuff under the carpet for the Olympics, and you can be assured that government inspectors there are getting rich off our cheap imports. Unfortunately, there is no way on this green earth that Western countries can match the manpower and ridiculously low wages that are prevalent in China. Impossible. I'll work for the Canadian Food Inspection agency for free if they pay my bills and mortgage....This is the age of Wal-Mart (I do shop there and love it by the way) and to keep prices down they have to use cheap labour. This ultimately leads to most manufacturing etc.. being contracted out to developing and third world countries. So I guess I should shut up and be happy with my cheap stuff whilst it remains useful. I can stick to Canadian or US food only tho'. I refuse to buy lettuce or veggies grown in Brazil or Uraguay.
China went as far as to ban the use/sale or public display of dog meat.....dog meat....while the olympics are under way. Dog meat. What country would not try to discourage this by maybe trying to get commercial farms going to feed your own population real meat. How much meat is on a dog anyway ? Dog meat. On the topic of cheap labour, what about companies who use countries like India to host their call centres ? Oh..my..god....It makes me mental when I am having issues with something technical like and I call to get assistance and then have to deal with a language barrier AND my lack of techie ingenuity. I do feel sorry for most of these poor souls who are trying to do their job and put up with my constant "Pardons" and "can you repeat thats" and "say agains" and then just having to ask for a call agent in Canada. I really do. It is not their fault North American companies are trying to squeeze out every penny they can to make a buck. How much would it cost Bell Canada (%$#$$#%^&*#!!!!!!) to have a call centre in India versus a company who has to get physical product to there and back again. I guess it's worth the lost customers who are fed up with their poor call centre plan of attack....Sad state of affairs....Dog meat.....your kidding me...right ?

Veterans Memorials...DO NOT GATE THEM !!

The following is a letter I sent to the Veterans Affairs Minister and Harper and some Veterans Associations and others. Just to point out that it is my understanding that most Veterans Associations do not want gates or fencing at these locations. I just hope that the people who make the decisions....and we all know how that usually works.....don't say...'just throw up some pretty fences. Beautiful from far but far from beautiful. Not appropriate whatsoever for our Military memorials to be secured like that in our own country. Not at all just because a random idiot sicko decided to take a leak or have a bukake party (right word ?) on a memorial. If anything, I would hope there would be some monumental fine other than 'disturbing the peace' or 'public mischief' for defacing a Canadian War Memorial in any way. I think it should be law....now if only I could get that thought into someones head.....hmmmm. Letter time !

Mr. Thompson,

After reading the news with regards to urinating and other defacement practices at the National War Memorial and then about the Korean War Memorial, it obviously depresses and disgusts you. Some people are uneducated with regards to the importance of these monuments. But you have to think who would wipe crap all over a monument ? Some drunken or stoned boor most likely. People peeing on the War Memorial ? Dumb kids who don't know better.

Please please don't let idiots like this cause gated access or some other type of overdone security controls that will keep people from actually walking right up to the monuments. They are very powerful when you are close. It would be even more depressing to see gates or fences, no matter how 'tastefully' done, set up due to uncalled for 'panic' caused by a couple of morons who made bad decisions. It is good that the issue is being raised to bring attention to it, but lets not go the paranoia route and shut them off from the public please. We the general public have more than enough respect in majority for veterans, than the few who don't care, and in as much want to keep our memorials from being turned into 'security zones'.

EU Banning Seal Stuff...Good For Them

Good for them. What are the seals used for anyway ? Fur......do people eat the meat ? I don't think so. Maybe they do. The Fisheries Minister fires back a quick 'threat' to the European Union before even maybe consulting the rest of Canada. Not like it's a National Industry that will cause widespread poverty and economic breakdown. I'm pretty sure that most Canadians are against it anyway yet for some reason the Federal govt keeps fighting for it and protecting the 'hunt'...'harvest'...'slaughter' whatever you wish to call it. They protect it as it is a tradition for the canadian peoples of isolated communities in Canada. A tradition. The way this Loyola guy (the Fisheries Minister....who is from down east by the way) reacted it seems like he would have the government buying the pelts from the hunters even if the market dried up totally and there was zero demand...."boo boo on you guys" we'll buy them ourselves and keep hunting just because....seriously. I would like to see a Nationwide poll to see how many Canadians think the hunt should be stopped altogether. This guy after all is representing us little guys across the Nation and not just the eastern provinces. He is an MP with a riding down east but he is the Federal Fisheries Minister representing Canada when he makes these international threats....

My letter to him and Harper and a few others again....

Mr. Hearn,

In your threatening reply to the EU attempting to ban certain sealing products do you believe you are popularly speaking for the rest of Canada ? Or is it just the people on the isolated outposts that rely on sealing for their livelihood ? I think you should honestly take into consideration the interests and opinions of the rest of Canada and it's population before you make a threatening reply like that. I think you will find that the rest of Canada may agree with the EU. You do after all profess to represent the people of Canada don't you ? Not just the people of your constituency. I am by no means a vegan. I eat meat and hunt occasionally. But to see the Canadian government put so much effort and dollars into protecting an outdated practice just to keep these fellow Canadians afloat financially is sad and depressing. If people do not want the product anymore then stop the hunt. Simple. Stop keeping the thing going. Bow to the majority and public (of Canadians at least) pressure and end it. Accept it. It almost seems like people like yourself and others in the government would actually keep this thing going even after the market completely dried up just to keep a tradition going. Take some government contract of some sort that will go to Quebec (as many do to keep them complacent) and transfer it to a location accessible to these communities to give them work. Buy their boats if you have to. God knows Canadians would rather see you buy a bunch of boats than spend it somewhere else frivolously.

They Just Can't Let It Go !!

“I really like Paul McCartney, but in this context, this is the last straw,..There is a clear Canadianization of the 400th celebrations. It is becoming a political gesture that tarnishes his presence. -Curzi

“The presence of your English-language music on the most majestic part of Battlefields Park, as beautiful as it might be, can’t help but bring back painful memories of our Conquest,” -Archambault

This is another letter I wrote to P Curzi, a Bloc Quebecois sovereigntist.....who is an idiot. Need I say more ? We already know that Luc is an idiot. Canadianization ?? New word that makes me laugh. I guess it is in the future BQ dictionary.....He thinks the French language is fragile and is going the way of the Dodo...Me thinks he need not worry....

Hi,

Could you at some point share with me your thoughts on the fragility of the French language ? I am an English speaking Canadian who has an alternate language shoved down his throat every day. Yes that language is French. It is forced upon us English speaking Canadians by our government, both federal and provincial. Yes, we are a bilingual country which is unique in it's own way and different, and French is a language that I do wish I could speak a little better than I do and I do actually like it. But it is when separatists and groups like action imperatif francais get media attention for ridiculous actions on their part, that it takes away interest we English speaking Canadians have in still trying to accept French as a second language...as again it is forced upon us. And you cannot in any way say it is not forced upon us as it most definitely is. Walk a day in my shoes or one of of a million other of your fellow Canadians. The aif group lambasted the federal government for using a poster of Samuel de Champlain with a plate of poutine as a Canada Day advert...inside the embassy. First off...Canada Day...not Quebecs BDay...secondly..poutine..that is something to be proud of and distinctly French. How many English speaking Canadians got their panties in a twist in the national media over having a symbol of a province that is trying to separate (OK..obviously less than 50% of the Quebec population) from Canada and feels the need not to follow the rest of Canada in using bilingual signs to assist the 'anglophones' in knowing where they are....used in their embassy in the US to advertise Canada Day ? Pretty sure there were none. It's folks like yourself that keep the province going I guess, financially, as your constant threats/ambition with regards to separating from Canada force the federal government to treat you that much better and get that much more funding and federal contracts to keep you complacent.Keeps the Quebec economy afloat I guess. (why did the federal government not force Quebec to keep bilingual road signs ? hmmmm....) This unfortunately is a popular view of the majority of English speaking Canada. The Federal government is doing quite well in keeping the French language alive and there is also the fact that English is kinda accepted as a universal language you know and you will thus have to suffer our existence in your province and we suffer forced bilingualism.
I would seriously like to hear of any information you could forward on the possible future extinction of French. It after all is probably the 2nd most accepted universal language. Maybe my views are wrong. I doubt it, but maybe I need an adjustment in my thinking and you could supply it.

PS: At McCartneys age I am sure he does not need a lesson on the history of the Plains of Abraham and the history of Quebec. It is taught worlwide you know, as it is the nucleus of Canada. Did the english victors deport all the French citizens ? Nope. They were pretty sure they could live in peace together.

As a member of your provincial house and experience as an actor,I am sure you either speak english or have access to a translator..as I do not. Please be civil and reply in english.

Paul McCartney Brings Back Bad Vibes ??

This is a letter I sent to Luc Archambault, S Harper, PCurzi and some others who may care> Even if they don't I blew some steam......(In relation to the fiasco with regards to sovereigntists worried that Sir Pauls presence would bring back memories of defeat at the Plains of Abraham and basically anti Canadian.....)

Luc,

I was wondering if you or any other artist 'elite' friends you are aware of recieve any kind of funding of any sort throught the Candian Government ? I am pretty sure more than a few do as our Canadian government seems to keep bending over backwards to please Quebec and your fellow whiners. I guess they are 'triators' to you as a fellow french artist. Do you really think the rest of Canada is going to sit on thier tucas and have nothing to do with the celebration of Quebecs 400th birthday ? Do you think we don't care ? It is a beautiful city and part of the rest of Canada. The rest of us Anglophones just become more and more frustrated with idiots like yourself when we find it hard to get jobs if we don't have a certain knowledge of French. We the english speaking Canadians are the ones who are being shafted you moron. We have to sit through practically every event of political relation listening to both english and french. You know why ? Because we are officially bilingual in the rest of Canada. Again, not you apparently and your pushing for more. There are villages in Ontario now that are having sign laws for Bilingualism. Ontario. Everywhere you go in Canada everything is in French and English...not in Quebec tho'...French only. You my friend are no better than dictatorial zealots who want to eradicate a minority or troublesome tribe. Quebec is Canadian for all of Canada to share. Is Celine Dion expected to be your sole headliner until you have another Celine ? It would be a sad state of affairs to have her at 90 as still your own 'culturally acceptable french ambassador' attempting to perform in a wheelchair as she is Quebecois you know ! Good lord man...it's people like yourself that keep the fires of anglophone anger over the language issue burning. Nothing is enough for you. You my friend, and your fellow petition signing friends are idiots. In all honesty you have probably done nothing more than embarrass yourself. You were probably one of the morons that demanded that the Canadian embassy in Washington remove the Samuel de Champlain with a poutine in his hand Canada Day invite. You want your language independence and to thrive in your french heritage, that was defeated at The Plains...move to your seeming home country of France. Just for you to have a day in an anglophones shoes...Really...Maybe Paul will launch a modern assault on quebec city...cleverly disguised as rodies.....and this time send all the soveriegntists (NOT nationalsits as you like to say...) back to France. Leave the Quebecois here who enjoy being a part of this country. Doofus.

PS...in your email address does it not say .qc.ca ? Is qc not Government oriented ? Is that not a provincial government allocation ? Funded by the federal government ? Just wondering how you got that ? Federal government funding maybe ?

Does the World Still Need Missionaries ?

As most missionaries are spreading the goodwill of Western Religion, are they really still needed ? Are they behind the times thinking they can bring the foreign heathens to god ? Do they actually think they can assist starving and suffering peoples and at the same time "teach them the love of god" ? Give me a break. Yes, some will come back and say that there are many 'missionaries' that do not preach but assist in rehabilitation only. This is true. I guess they call themselves 'missionaries of love'. Who knows. This is'nt about them. This is about the ones who feel the need to spread their religion to others who for the most part don't really care, or who are too weak minded (brought on by incredible suffering). There are Aid agencies to assist suffering peoples, who's own government don't give a rats ass about them. (thats another post !!) 'Missionary' sounds so 19th century 'bring the word to the heathens'. Really. There are still missionaries in Northern Canada for petes sake !! Thinking that the inuit need the word of god brought to them. Leave them be ! They are fine with their own beliefs and traditions. I have met so many missionaries who are right out there in left field...almost seemingly in a drug haze in their beliefs. I have also met others (minority) who are totally down to earth and just want to help the less fortunate...with a little of 'the word' thrown in. Some people say you don't see Muslim missionaries for example as they just pump out offspring to overwhelm by sheer numbers, eventually. You have to admit this has a ring of truth to it. Really. I don't know why you don't see Jewish missionaries...Is there such a thing ?

Should Khadr be Released ?

No. Thats just my opinion. You have to assume that someone has some decent proof of guilt against him to keep him this long. For the PMO to refuse to intervene. And no...we should not always be given all the files and proof against people when it could affect intelligence (used lightly!!) agencies in our country or others. Just because his mother (who should be deported herself as she is brainwashed..) is begging for him to come home and making all those false statements and he is shown crying on a tape is no reason to bring him back. Out of 7 hours of interviews the defense chose about, what ?, 7 minutes ? Obviously as that is the one bit that will affect bleeding heart pacifists who will then start pining for the government to 'bring him home'. Please. I know I sound cold but thats what is happening. Interrogators are suppoed to break people down. Thats there job. Thats what happens to you when you are an arrested terrorist. I just hope to no end that the govt does not give in and try and bring him home. Sure, if he's found guilty and stays in prison, bring him here to serve his term, as he is technically a Canadian. You just hope that he would rehabilitate (his family too...) and actually become, and enjoy it, a Canadian and bitch about Canadian issues...

Woman in Winnipeg kids Taken Away

Do you think the government has the right to remove kids from a family for her beliefs ? She states she is not a white supremacist but a white nationalist. Unfortunately for her they found hitler and nazi memorabilia in her home which makes you doubt her. Maybe she is misguided in her thinking and is just trying to actually be a nationalist and not a nazi. Needless, I think the school overreacted and should have called the mother and told her the 'arm art' was unacceptable and taken her home. Does she have a point, that most people are too afraid to talk about, that no one stands up for white english speaking Canadians ? If you mention anything remotely offensive with regards to a religion or race or how immigrants to this country should 'adapt' to the Canadian way....look out. Yet who makes an uproar when people cut us down. Be 'we' Anglican or Agnostic or Protestant or Atheist or just 'here'. Maybe we 'Canadians' are just too laid back. Did anything happen to those teens who went to shcool in BC with icons of a sikh terrorist organisation emblazoned across their shirts ? They got radio and TV interviews (see post below!!!) Did that Khadr woman have her kids taken away for preaching extremist islam to them ? And cutting down Canada constantly ? Yet suckling on our teat still...Not.

Media Hyperbole and fear Mongering

There is really no link for this as it concerns all types of media. Who out there believes the media is responsible for most of the panic and fear on the world stage today ? Don't get me wrong. We need the media (and obviously the media needs us) but don't you hate those commentators or writers (mostly commentators and radio show hosts) who overblow the simplest news stories and try to blow them completely out of proportion ? Practically every interview you see on TV tries to 'make' a story or pull a secondary story out of the poor sould being interviewed. OK, not always a poor soul ) Most of the time it's their need to get the biggest scoop and make themselves look good..no ? I think it would be a good test to have the news done by an average Joe Blow who lacks charisma and panache for an entire month and have him use the term 'it seems apparent that...but we could be wrong as we are just not sure and we don't want to speculate and cause any panic' This would be a nice change as I have a friend who works on an oil rig in the Persian Gulf and he put a megaphone to his ass one day, as a joke, and farted. There happened to be a correspondent from a poplular newspaper on the adjacent rig. The subsequent media fracas that ensued, as it was a slow news day, came to the conclusion that there was possibly an Iranian fast attack boat sklulking around taking pot shots at oil rigs. Reports not confirmed. Oil jumped $25 a barrel the next trading day and the US 7th fleet was put on high alert with diplomatic note sent to the Iranian embassy and troops in iraq mobilized and the US started trying covertly to get together a coalition of friendly countries........
